Laxmi Badu (49), wife of Birgunj High Court Registrar Tara Dutta Badu of Dashrathchand Municipality-7, Baitadi, died in a jeep accident at Jurikhet in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-6, Makawanpur on Tuesday.

The incident occurred when the Scorpio jeep (3-01-002 Jha 5183) heading towards Birgunj from Kathmandu lost control and fell 50 to 60 meters down the road at 7 am today. 

Birgunj High Court Chief Judge Gokarna Dangi (57) of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-9, driver Chhunilal Chaudhary (32) of Rapti Municipality-8, Dang, High Court Registrar Taradatta Badu (51) of Dasharathchand Municipality-7, Baitadi, his wife Laxmi Badu (49), his sister Rina Badu (31) and their son Ritendra Badu (25) were injured in the accident. 

Four critically injured people were airlifted to the Nepal Army Hospital in Kathmandu for treatment. 

Laxmi Badu succumbed to her injuries at 10:29 am while undergoing treatment.
