The monsoon season is significantly affecting the country, with a low-pressure system positioned variably across the country. 

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported heavy rainfall in western regions, particularly in Baitadi, Kanchanpur, Kailali, and Bardiya. 

Additionally, areas such as Syangja and Nawalpur have also recorded excessive rainfall. 

Forecasts indicate a likelihood of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning across various regions, including the Himalayan and hilly areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, as well as parts of Koshi and Bagmati provinces. 

The Tarai regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Sudurpashchim, and Madhes Provinces are also expected to experience a similar weather pattern. 

Heavy rainfall is anticipated in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, with specific warnings for the Tarai region of Lumbini. 

The forecast for tonight includes the possibility of rain and snow in the Himalayan and hilly areas, along with moderate rain and thunderstorms in several Terai regions.
