Two national highways have remained obstructed for traffic from early morning today in Baglung district following flooding and landslides.

The Baglung sections of the Kaligandaki corridor and Mid Hill Highway were blocked from the monsoon-induced disasters.

A landslide occurred on the bank of Kalakhola (river) along the Kaligandaki corridor in Baglung Municipality-13 has disrupted the traffic along the route from early morning today.

Likewise, flooding near Kanabazaar of Nisikhola Rural Municipality-4 obstructed the vehicular movement along the Burtibang-Nisikhola road section of the Mid Hill Highway in Baglung, Information Officer of District Police Office Rameshwor Twati said.

Information Officer Twati added that they are coordinating with the concerned projects’ officials to resume the vehicular movements in both the highways.
