Former Prime Minister and former President of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has returned home nearly after six months on Thursday. 

Deuba returned to Nepal on a Thai Airways flight this afternoon after undergoing further treatment in Singapore. 

Leaders and cadres of the Nepali Congress have gathered at the Tribhuvan International Airport to welcome him.

Security has been tightened at the airport. 

The former Prime Minuster had gone to Singapore in February for further medical treatment. 

Prior to that, he had been injured in a violent attack on September 9 during the GenZ movement.
