The Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee under the House of Representatives has instructed the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies to control black marketing and artificial shortage of LP gas.
During a meeting held at Singha Durbar today, Committee President Rahabar Ansari directed the ministry to study and research the possibility of expanding the cooking gas pipeline for the long-term and smooth supply of cooking gas, asking to submit the details to the committee within one week.
He further called for ensuring quality market inspection by conducting regular monitoring through Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, Nepal Oil Corporation and the Ministry to minimize possible risk to consumers from using old gas cylinders.
