A child died after a house wall collapsed on him at Salamkot of Dhorpatan Municipality-2, Baglung on Sunday evening. 

The deceased has been identified as five-year-old Aashish Bhandari. 

The incident occurred while he was playing nearby, police said. 

According to the Area Police Office, Burtibang, though the child was rescued from the debris and was taken to the Burtibang Provincial Hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
