The country at present is under the influence of upper-level western trough and local wind systems, resulting in generally cloudy conditions throughout the country, the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology stated.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces; at a few places in Madhes Province, the Tarai regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, and the hilly and Himalayan regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces; and at one or two places in the Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim Provinces, according to the Department.
