British climber Kenton Cool scales Mount Everest for record 20th time

British mountaineer Kenton Cool has set a new record in mountaineering history by successfully climbing Mount Everest for the 20th time on Friday, setting a new record for the most summits by a foreign climber.

According to officials at Everest Base Camp, the 52-year-old reached the summit before dawn at around 4 am local time, along with his longtime Nepali guide Dorji Gyalzen Sherpa.

Cool climbed Mount Everest for the first time in 2004.
