Identities of those killed in Kapan fire established

The identities of those killed in a massive fire that broke out at Lasuntar, Kapan in Kathmandu on Wednesday have been established.
The deceased have been identified as Kasang Tenji Sherpa (27) of Taplejung, Ashok Rai (32) of Sankhuwasabha and Chhewang Sherpa (25) of Ranibari, Kathmandu.
The fire broke out when a portable oxygen cylinder and portable gas cylinder exploded at Elite Himalayan Adventure last night.
Kushal Budhathoki (28) sustained burn injuries in his right hand, both legs and face in the incident.
He is undergoing treatment at Chunikhel-based Karuna Hospital. Spokesperson of the District Polcie Range Kathmandu, SP Dinesh Raj Mainali informed that a team of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police along with local residents had doused the fire. As many as 200 police, 70 Nepal Army and 30 APF personnel were mobilized to take the fire under control.
